CL semis: Bayern - Barca 3-2 (3-5 agg.)

The game is approaching.
My fears and doubts are about the thing how we were losing virtually every duel 2 years ago.

Yes, yes, some of our fans are now claiming how we had a lot of injuries, a sick coach etc.
But still, we played with:
-- Valdes, Alba, Pique, Bartra, Alves, Busi, Xavi, Iniesta, Pedro, Alexis, Messi

This video was already posted before.
It is so painful to watch it.
We couldn't create a single pass even though we had Alves, Alba, Busi, Xavi, Iniesta, Messi, Pedro, Alexis and most of them are very hard workers.
Plus, we were losing every single defensive duel, our players looked like a bunch of 13 year old kids against Bayern players.

If we can improve in build up play today, well, then we can win.
If we will lose every duel like back then, well, then we will surely lose.

(This is a video from the 2nd match, but the story is the same)

That was the first time in a very long time Iniesta got owned.

Our midfield is Obviously our weakest line but Martinez and Schweinsteiger probably wont even start nor does Bayern play like they did 2 years ago right?
We are also way more physical nowadays compared to back then.

i am confident in this team. that team was a train wreck.

La liga, Barca 100 points, scored 115 goals
+15 points better than Madrid

We were a wreck when you use revisionism.
I posted a few days ago a ling to the topic from that era after a draws.

Most of our fans were saying before matches against Bayern (even though we had all of these injuries), that it will be 50:50.
Plus, 90% of fans were not commenting about Bayern but:
= I am glad we avoided Real and people talked about El Classico final and how painful it will be if we will lose the final to Real

So, it is easy to say now that we were poor back then.
Before the match, people though that it will be 50:50.

And even after a 4:0 in the first leg, people here talked that we can catch them in the 2nd leg if Messi will be fit and with 1-2 lucky goals.

And then, after two matches, people started to debate about Messipendencia, and then a part of this forum came to the conclusion that we lost because:
= 5 players were on Messi and no one could have offer any threat
-- and then people started to talk that we need Neymar (whom we will buy later that Month), because when Messi will be marked, then Neymar will score Goals

-- also, I remember that the other part of fans used to say:
= Neymar can't help us
-- it was not about attack, we were aoutplayed in attack, midfield and defense, in all departments

So, our fans really now changed their views and are today putting all the blame to injuries.
But again, we didn't act that way back then.
Revisionism is happening again.

Iniesta is weaker than back then.
Busi is more or less the same.
We only have Raki instead of Xavi.

Messi is older and he will be out of the game, Germans always put him out of the game.
Neymar can offer some threat, but in working area, he works much less than Pedro who played back then.
Also, Sukki is better than Alexis, but they work the same.

Defense: Alves is weaker than then, Pique+Alba are the same.
Masch is shorter but phyisically stronger than Bartra.

All in all, we have new stronger players in Masch and Raki.
Older Iniesta and Alves. Plus, physically weaker Neymar.

The team is more or less the same.
There is a chance that problems which occurred against Atletico will be multiplied by 3x tonight.

I found extended highlights from the first match in Munchen (when we thought that the tie is 50:50):

(Take a look for a few minutes, guys)

We were just outplayed in every single department.
Our attacks looked horrible and without any idea (look how we couldn't do any attack)

Our midfield lost every duel, and we looked like a bunch of short kids.

And defense, ok, we had some injuries.

But it is not fair to blame injuries for everything.
We need to play much different tonight.

If we will play in this way, lol, we will surely lose again.

it's not about player then vs player now, it's about the collective of the way the team is playing, their attitude/happiness/effective tactics.

also even if you do that comparison then we have superior replacements for the likes of alexis and the likes of pique/alves/alba/busquets/messi are now fit/in good form.

as for the team being a train wreck, we were deluded from our past success at the time (some were anyway), there was that arrogance that we were the kings that hadn't been knocked off our throne yet but an intelligent fan would have seen the cracks showing (predictable attacking, messidependencia, shit defending and pressing, low motivation of the team) and many pointed it out. we lost away to ac milan and barely got past psg, we lost to RM in the league. we only won the league because madrid imploded and because we finished off the small teams.

Who didn't play at all at 4:0 trashing in Munchen (Busi-Xavi-Ini-Messi-Pedro-Sanchez)

but still we had him on the team even if he was on the bench, that guy is just a bad omen
plus your analysis it totally wrong, just having our coach fighting cancer and not with us
is bad enough for any team, and thats only 1 reason of many reasons we failed

All true up till the part where people thought Barca could still go trough after the 4-0, there was no Milan comeback possible back then for anyone thinking realistically.

i'm worried about losing the midfield battle again but we rely on it less and Bayern isnt the same either.
Germans putting Messi out of the game is bs as well, thats just based on the Bayern semi's where he was basically injured and we were outplayed collectively, along with the wc final which is bullshit as well since if Palacio or Higuain finish them easy chances it would be a different tune.

This is in no way a similair Barca compared to 2013, the team back then was a pep left over in its final phase of decline. Nowadays we are a rejuvenated team and Bayern is way different as well.
Its 55/45 for us due to their injuries imo. Of course we can draw or even lose but I would be very surprised if we got trashed again like in 2013.

Messi caried us all season, up untill the psg injury and aftermath he was winning us all small games scoring every game, 20/21 games in a row, almost all braces. Had 42 after 28 liga games.
He carried us against Milan in the return along with Iniesta and Busquets, saved us injured vs psg with one of the most epic sub in's.

The Bilbao game after Bayern basically summed up our whole season, extreme Messidependencia that won us la liga. Luckily thats way different now, Messi having a weak game vs psg wont matter, we got Neymar and Suarez ready to step it up.
