As for the history of 12/13, let's not forget we had 4 more points in the league at this time and beat Madrid by 15 points in the end. One loss in a CL semifinal while playing with a very weakened side does not at all accurately summarize Tito's season or our team that year which was exceptional.

Like many others have already pointed out, that season, Messi was saving our asses each and every game, while our defense was leaking goals all the time. We certainly had no Neymar or Suarez.

Cesc and Alexis, while good players in their own right, were always flops in big CL games, every single one of them in fact.

I would also add that we were extremely lucky in several league games that season: Osasuna, Valencia, Granada, Sevilla, Deportivo, Betis, Levante etc...
