Clément Lenglet (loaned to Atletico)

You have to start wondering if it's better to have him as some rotation player for Umtiti. At least Umtiti, with all of his bad qualities, can still position himself well in defense at most times. Just basic CB abilities are not there for Lenglet. He can only pass. that's basically it. He is 6'1'' and can't even aerial duels vs players 3-4 inches shorter than him.

Umtiti was responsible for 4 goals against Granada and Sevilla. Lenglet and Umtiti are competing on the same level of bad.

At least he's consistently shit. Never anything to get our hopes up. May be the most consistent player in the team. Will be playing for Auxerre in 2 years.

- Lenglet will be at Auxierre within 3 years at most
- Busi in Japan playing for Vissel Kobe alongside Sergi Samper
- Alba either rotation player or playing for some mid table La Liga side
- Messi and Pique most likely in MLS

^^ That is IF Laporta has balls.

I'm still hoping some Mid-table EPL team is willing to take him away at this rate.

I liked him at Sevilla and thought there might be a potential great CB in there but we have seen enough out of him to suggest he won't ever be a top-level CB as he just has so many damn flaws. He's not strong and another good word to describe him is "Slow" as not just the pace department, he looks slow at just reacting to everything.

I would kill for a 2014-16, Jeremy Mathieu, right now. He filled that 3rd CB role very well and was used as a good tactical option to help shove Mascherano forward if needed. He had the pace and wasn't soft either.

He also burst forward if needed as well.

Lenglet played like he didn't want to put 100% into challenges because PSG are French and he is French.

Woeful defensive performance.

Lenglet doesn't look like he is giving a fuck ever. He does look like one of those kids in school who don't like sport lessons, but take part because they have to.

Valverde fooled us into thinking he was potentially world class.

What the fuck happened to him? You don't become this bad overnight it's insane

EV priority was to protect defense, which hide the limitation of such player.
Pique was also still decent and covered him a lot.
When those protection removed, he was exposed badly, especially in highline defense.
He better move to a team like ATM for example
