Wow what a game:party1: This is what Barca can do on counters, although we are loosing possession, so Xavi must be furious right now:xavi:

Loving it! The purest counter attacking performance from Barca you can imagine.

Funny though how the match at one point showed Barca having 44% of the ball (around 30th minute) while Opta at the same time said we were having about 65% of it. Perfectly shows the difference between calculating possession by counting the time of having the ball vs counting the passes made by a team.

Also 70% pass completion from us which is ridiculously low. So what? We're winning and I don't see Atletico coming back if the referee cuts out his mistakes.

I think it would be even very difficult for Xavi to control the game because the lawn is in terrible conditions. It's a shame that a time like Atleti tries to harm us like this. 3rd tier teams have better lawns.

Holy crap we're playing counter attacking football.

I never thought i'd be ok with this. I feel hypocritical but I want to see the sight of us with a trophy by the end of the season. One more half!!

Athletico never expected us to play counter. They are like deer infront of train when Messi runs at them.Hope messi score 1 or 2.

I love slow build-up play, but adapt the strategy to fit the specific game. Barça in recent years could always have benefitted from faster transition play when the opportunities were there (if nothing else, to catch a goal or two to allow them to play possession game the rest of the time). Crappy pitch, opponent defending deep = counterattack when available.

I really hope we didn't play a pure counter attacking game just because the pitch was bad, but more because it simply makes more sense.
