3-4-3 is atrocious. This bullshit cost us the CL in 11/12 and cost Pep a hammering in the CL game v Barca (he switched 30 mins in but we could have been 3-0 up by then).

Possession is only good when it's in the service of vertical movement. Horizontal/back passes to keep 80% and get destroyed on counter attacks is different shit than EV but still shit.

Pretty much, yes. I recall our shitty from 11/12 very vividly. It was dreadful.

the problem is unless Messi plays we cannot win - even against 3rd level nothing teams it has been like this for years!!!
this team cannot win ANY game against ANY team unless Messi plays - that is shameful ... guys like Greizmann Fati etc should be dominating this game - what a disaster!!!!

BRING IN A STRIKER WHO HAS SCORED 20 GOALS without Messi or this team is DONE!!!

I've said for years Barca will be like Milan once Messi goes. That might have been an underestimation.

Exactly. I blame Valverde for the physical fitness of the team.

Same, going from too many days off to intense training sessions day after day without any days off almost is kind of extreme though. Setien is preparing this team as if we are in preseason. He doesn't have the luxury to build fitness over the next month without caring for results.

In fact, this game looks like the first preseason game, with the players being after the first intense training sessions after a vacation.

Who cares about the Copa anyway? But yes, still a defeat to Ibiza will be embarrassing.

He is screwed either way.

If we continue with this 3-4-3 shit then Setien deserves as much blame as the players in this match. Even more if you ask me as he has seen over 70 minutes of this shitshow and he still decided to not take any measures.

Edit: finally a goal, nice pass by Frenkie there and good finish by Griezmann. Still not enough.
