I'm curious to know clubs stats "after" playing defensively for 90 minutes....its gotta destroy your side with days to recover.....fcb takes most clubs for a long and hard dance....

Don't get me wrong 3-1 is a great result and we are pretty much in the final... but it should have been 4-0 which would allow us a well needed rest. instead we have to put out a strong team in the away leg.

We looked really tired at the end, especially Neymar and Messi. During the weekend against Levante we should seriously consider sitting both of them plus our fullbacks. We have a difficult schedule after that.

Very pleased with the result.Of course it could have been better without Ter Stegens mistake and Neymars Penalty miss.But this result should get us through to the final.

That conceded goal was really annoying. 3-1 is still a dangerous result, although in our current form we should go through.
Today it became again so obvious how important it is for us to score the 1-0. Even with the better and faster play we have now, those extremely defensive tactics are still a pain and therefore we didn´t get too many chances in the first 30 or so minutes. Messi not being on his best today probably would have helped a lot, but even he can´t be out of this world every single match - he was still good today by anybody else´s standards.

What I didn´t like was the way our defensive formation looked. Even when Villarreal were not on a counter, but a regular attack, our players had too much space between them for my taste. I´m kind of worried other teams especially in the CL could hurt us that way. The good thing though was our pressing after losing the ball, so we rarely gave them the chance to build up calmly.

Good signs from this game as well.

Not our best one, but we cracked yet another bus. Scoring from a corner is also always nice to see. It seems Messi took over the crossing duties this match, too bad we didn't manage to score from those. I missed Rakitic though.

Am very happy with Iniesta's performance too!
