Of course, people generally speaking look much younger nowadays than they did, say 30+ years ago. Just watched You only live twice (1967) yesterday. Connery was 36 at the time and looked about 50 by todays standards.

They did, but this has little to do with it.
You had young looking people in all time periods. Ralph Macchio, Al Pacino. It mostly still comes down mostly to genes and what style you wear.

Ronaldo took good care of himself and makes an effort to look young.

One of the greatest examples in human history of how outwardly success can ruin the inner peace of a human being.

It is frightening and symbolic of how addicted we are to creating our own mental hell here on earth, that many will use him as a role model, both now and in the future.

When push comes to shove, he will look back on his life as a painful journey where all his 'successes' only resulted in him creating a tormented soul for himself.

Tragic.
