Now that Pele is dead, this fraud of a footballer has turned on to disrespecting him and downplaying his achievements - after pretending he had any respect for the only person who can sit with Messi shoulder-to-shoulder in the GOAT debate while he was alive.

All of Pele's goals are well documented and completely legit. Nobody is making things up. FIFA, GWR and all other historic statistical organizations recognize Pele as the footballer with most goals in football history. It's just Ronaldo's fanbase and a group of brainwashed modern football era cultists that deny this very simple fact with zero evidence to back it up. Yes, Ronaldo has more official goals. But it's a classic dumbass move to discredit all of Pele's friendly goals, a move that only people who know nothing about the era Pele played in can take. Friendlies were a part of the game back then. Football was not about money, or trophies or competition. It was an art and a beautiful sport to watch. People gattered in huge numbers to watch greats of football play, even if the match is not competitive. Today, friendlies are completely irrelevant. They are used as a preparement for the season, rather than as a part of it. Biggest supertars don't even play, it's just the youngest ones getting their chance to show off. Friendlies had a different status back then, and that's exactly why discrediting Pele's performances there (who, by the way, terrorized all of Europe's biggest teams when he would play them in friendlies even though they'd take it pretty serious) is a classic mistake people who know nothing of that football era make.

It was somewhat understandable when his fanbase has been discrespecting this legend of the game to try and snuck Ronaldo in the GOAT debate. But now, this overrated manchild that had to open a youtube channel and turn to being an influencer in order to fool the masses that know nothing about football and get his name cemented in the game of football ahead of some objectively better players, has also turned to disrespecting him and playing the propaganda game.

Messi, Pele, Maradona - none of them had to turn to youtube in order to stay remembered and stay relevant. They gave glory to their countries and eternal glory to their clubs, they marked an era in football. They were bringing magic on the pitch and their football was like an art. But this hitchhikker of the GOAT debate had to play a different game. Because he knew, eventually, when this whole era is digested and everything settles in a few years - everybody will accept Messi was levels above him.
