Villarato!
Will probably get Puskas for that.

Deservedly so if it happens TBH. It's basically on par with his 40 yarder against Porto 10 years ago. And not only for the goal itself, but the fact that it was so much of a dagger. He got his mini Ronaldinho moment from the crowd too.

Fantastic goal !

CL and WC will be decisive for the golden ball.
Since CR and Messi won't win the WC, CL will be decisive.

if Madrid win the CL 3 years in a row, Ronaldo will make it 6 Ballon d'ors to Messi's 5 and will be hailed as the GOAT of this generation whether we like it or not and even though I'm a huge Messi fan who will always be the GOAT for me, Ronaldo deserves credit to not only keep up with an alien but he's actually surpassing him at the age of 33.

His faggot D riding cult fans are embarrassing but I don't actually hate Ronaldo himself anymore, he works his ass off and his determination is unlike anything I've seen in sport.

Even if it comes down to 6 vs. 5, I think most football fans of this generation would still regard Messi a better player overall. However, it is true that decades from now people will only judge you by the silverware and personal trophies they won so that could totally happen.

Ronaldo is a great great great player indeed. I'd have liked him more if he hadn't played for real madrid that stunch club from the capital. He works hard and is always motivated, and he gets rewarded for his effort.

gonna have to put him in my top 3 all time, and that's a testament to his undying desire to win considering how many ball dominant magicians have played this game. messi/maradona CR7.

I'd like to think you're right about most fans seeing past stats but the Americanization of football and the movement towards stats these days.. I'm not so sure. Ronaldo at United was a diving insufferable queen but at Madrid hes matured and even when he says his 'I'm the best ever' it comes across more of a joke/banter.

remember when we used to pull up his graphs/stats vs top teams? It seems like now he's scoring against every single top team, he's making us eat our words now

They won’t. We’ll beat them in the semis.
