He was fairly invisible the last 3 matches of last year (Bayern tie + final) and the previous match in Atletico--selective memory. However the one today and the one last year @Juv were memorable.

If Ronaldo wins the CL with Juventus this year, nobody would have any real argument to put Messi over him. Outside a personal preference for a style of playing football, which is far from objective.

This guy is overrated AF. That has always been my thought. I never doubted that he's one of the greatest players of his generation. But IMO he's never been an all time great.

Today, he proved to me that he's the greatest player of CL ever. He may not have Messi's or R9's or Zidane's talent, but he compensated it with perfect mentality and great athletics. That made him the most crucial player in this competition's history.
