Wouldnt suprise me if Portugal wins Euro they are playing really well but a 36 years old will be tired in the knockout matches when Portugal plays every three days a match.

They have a real golden generation. Dare I even say that if Ronaldo doesn't mess things up with heroball heroics, they have a shot at winning the EUROs or the WC. Guys like Fernandes, Felix, Silva are very good.

One big flaw was the shitting on Ronaldo when he was damn near untouchable...the mental gymnastics to slander a player hitting 60 a season from such a great forum. Madness.

When he was scoring 60 goals a season, he was mostly minnow bashing and getting mad about not being given penalties v Espanyol while Barcelona was for the most part winning big trophies. Making fun of him was fun at the time, lol.
After he started scoring buckets in the big games and winning CLs at RM while Barcelona started getting clowned in Europe, I'm pretty sure most people stopped mocking him here with regards to his game/place as an all time great.

I get that feeling also. i'm not really that invested in the Messi-Ronaldo debate since he left Madrid but if Ronaldo managed to win a world cup as top scorer or THE player for Portugal (none of this off the pitch coaching bs) I might have to give him the GOAT of this gen.
Messi is the better player no doubt but Ronaldo looks like hes still going strong and we know how motivated/obsessed he is. been said so many times but I'd love to of watched Ronaldo and Messi on the same team
