Bad match from CR but insane pace for the goal

Insane pace? I would even say rather slow. The LB who first had to get on the inside was catching up rapidly. He was just positioned too far up on the left because his team tried to draw the game while being one man down. Furthermore he started too late because he trusted his CB who also could have got the ball but had to cover the centre due to the RB sleeping on the wing. But good instinct once again to kill a dead man.

15 years in a row scoring at least 15 goals in the league

Heck, i reckon he will do it for 20 years before he retires, major injuries aside.

Looks like him being a goat level player isn't enough for some and they need random posters celebrating him like a second coming of jesus for scoring some regular goals to be satisfied.

Even though Messi missed most shots, those dont come near the chances Cronaldo gets on a regular basis. He gets so many clearcut chances, his finishing is not really THAT good when you look at it.

I've always believed Messi the superior player to Ronaldo. He brings a rare magic that you only get to see once in a generation, or ever. I don't think a player will ever be able to replicate his prime.

However, Ronaldo aged far better than Messi, and that is undeniable. Blame it on our team, on our management. Whatever. It's all excuses. The fact stands that THERE IS NO EXCUSE for him walking around, doing absolutely nothing for 50% of the match- if not more.

People say Ronaldo gets more chances on a regular basis so it's unfair. That is absolute RUBBISH. He gets more chance because he puts in way more effort than Messi, and has been for a few years now, and he is always making runs. His movement in the box is still as good as ever. Messi is just lazy now, period.

Ronaldo best player ever off the ball for me.

Spots poor defending positionally and exposed it relentlessly.

Still good on ball mind you but not top top level but he is the reason he gets so many chances. Kills teams that makes slightest error.

Ronaldo has aged well, but keep in mind his role in the team.
Sure, Ronaldo contributes in the build-up here and there, but his role isn`t to be the playmaker of the team.

Having said that, its also true that Messi isn`t as good in the box as Ronaldo for obvious reasons.

Different players, different roles.

i like how the same people who constantly whine about braithwaite and griezman being shitty forwards have no problem coming here to say CR is just a simple finisher

I agree, but that wasn't ever really up for discussion. We all know the kind of player Ronaldo turned into, his fancy dribbles and taking on players ended shortly after he transferred to Real Madrid. He's been that player ever since. The point I was making though is that he has continued to be that type of player, and at a top level, despite his age. Messi had a more involved role and more responsibility, on top of being our top scorer. However he has declined sharply after hitting his 30s, with signs of decline even before that. Different roles, but Ronaldo has been much more efficient at his during the twilight years, certainly.
