You're welcome
1 (One) open play goal vs France, Germany and Belgium. Which was a tapin of the easiest sort. Bar the penalties he was a ghost in the two last games. You love to see it.

Thanks for spelling out '1' between parentheses. Wouldn't have gotten it otherwise.

False narrative. He created two big chances for Jota and Silva at least. 4 dribbles and 5 aerial balls won. Let down by his teammates in attack today to be honest. But yeah, he had no chances to score due to poor delivery and he can't really create chances for himself on his own.

4 dribbles in 95 minutes from their star player? Hardly impressive. Also, he's bound to win 5 aerials when he's 6ft 1. I love how you mention how his teammates let him down when it's teammates who usually set him up for his goals. Most of his goals are tap-ins or penalties. Messi on the other hand is always involved in creating the chances or goals for Argentina. It's Messi's teammates that's let him down for Argentina the majority of the time.

People use unrealistic expectations to bash him (current version of Ronaldo), it's as if people haven't watched him the last 3 years. He won't dribble around an entire defense and he won't 'run the show' anymore, we've known this for years. He's a clutch goal scorer, period.

His overall play is very poor these days but still if you give me the choice of any player to score a needed crucial goal (penalty or otherwise) I would still choose 36 year old Ronaldo

anyways, thought his Euros were pretty stat inflated, Hungary game especially. had their goal been onside theres no way they collapse as they did

No one has unrealistic expectations. People are just responding in the same manner as CR fan boiz are bashing Messi all the time about trivial things. You can try to be neutral or respond normally here but then the fan boiz will go nuts thinking they won the internet battle.

He wasn't that bad yesterday tbh. It's the first in a long time he's actually coming somewhere with his dribbles instead of doing 3 stepovers and passing backwards.
