I get it, we hate him.

But he is 36 and a half, lol.
And people are saying he isn't dribbling or deciding KO matches anymore.

Just a reminder, former Ballon D Or winners looked like this at his age:
320.jpg

While Ronaldinho was in a South American jail in that age.

This guy is still playing (quite good), trying and being visible sad after being KOd.
He is far from his best days, far from a physical peak, far from a BDor level, but there is nothing to be ashamed about his performances.
If anything, he is still insanely passionate and motivated even at the age of 36, when majority of other footballers are either dead, on coke and alcohol, in jails or in Qatar.

Former ballon d'or player who retired earlier due to being plagued with injuries his career and had weight related health issues aswell.

Ronaldinho lost motivation cause he didn't have anything to prove , he legit won everything there was to win and got bored of football.

We get what you are saying but those examples , especially the Ronaldo one are wrong.

Don't know about the rest of his performance but shooting his free kick at the keeper's corner and not trying to get it over the wall was actually pretty smart for once. Gave him at least a little chance to score. Would have been even smarter from this angle to let anybody else take it and be ready for the header/tap-in.

Cristiano R. is a legendary player, goal-scorer.. But when it comes to the level of ball-playing and being talented, he is nowhere near a Ronaldo Fenomeno (the real Ronaldo).
CR7 had a better career overall (longetivity, no big injuries), but R9 at his prime was the real one, not just a finisher or scorer, but an all-field player able to do anything with the ball.

He would get a pass (and rightfully so) for declining as he is 36 plus, BUT his fans like to remind us that he has the physique of.a 24 year old when he does do well...so he's gonna be held to 24 year old CR7 standards when he stinks up the joint. It's simple as that.

R9 was supremely talented, thats for sure, but he wasn't without flaws either, while his career for Brazil is legendary, his career for club isnt quite as good.

Can you imagine the outrage if CR or Messi went their entire careers without winning a CL, all the while playing for top clubs every season?
It was a more forgiving environment back then, less pressure from social media.

Can't have it both ways:

"Wow look what he's doing at 36 years old"

And

"Hey he's 36, it's not his fault"

Tbh people are just having a laugh on the forum, it's not that deep. If there weren't several people here who twerk for him (one of whom has gone missing since this result :) lol) there wouldn't be the jokes made.

wow so people nowadays gonna talk about his fitness and body

nothing about how poor he plays since 2015 ?

how he only waits for penalties and tap in to score ? how he disappear most of the games

his agent must be paying a lot of money for media for sure

Sadly most of the football watching spectators don't care about that. How you actually play.

As long as you put pictures of abs to IG and score penalties it's allll good.

Also:

I don't care about your Messi rants. I don't partake in them. I think it's fucking stupid, but I stay out of it 95% of the time.

I just find it incredibly tiresome to see the same shit going on for pages just because you cannot stay out of something or come up with pages of BS or get triggered because a FC Barcelona fan likes and appreciate the greatest player in the club's history.

Just makes you want to come less to the forum.

good for you. wake me up when messi does anything for barca other than score against bottom feeders while we bankrupt the club for him

BarcaOG is the type of lad to start bar fights over petty stuff and then complain to the manager that he didn't do anything

Isn't it more the point that his fans still claim he's the best in the world? Every time he slots in a Penaldo or a 3 yard tap in he still gets hyped up. If he actually scores a decent goal, you never hear the end of it.

They were trying to hype him to a ballon d'or if Portugal had gone far despite Juve's disaster season.
