Winning something with your national team is a big deal, obviously, but for me it makes no difference in how i rate the players.

Messi had a great individual tournament, but i dont rate him higher now than i would if he lost this final.

As for Ronaldo, his tournament in 16 was rather average, ironically he was better in this one, despite not getting as far.

Right. Ronaldo was mediocre during Euro 2016 but he won. This time he is pretty good but loses early.
