Distance covered per 90 in the UCL:
Ronaldo 8.1 Km's
Messi 8.3 Km's
Mbappe 8.7 Km's
Neymar 10.5 Km's

PSG's front 3 are constantly criticised for not putting in effort and running enough, yet average more distance than Ronaldo does.

Found this on redcafe...so I can't speak to the veracity of these numbers.

But it's funny how one of the narratives of Messi v CR7 debates has been this concept of CR7 as this tireless, hard working player...yet I would say the average difference in kilometers run between them in CL games is like 1. CR7 has never been the type to average more than 10 KMs a game as other elite forwards like Lewa or say Benzema.

Also, look how lazy Mbappe is.

I keep hearing that this is what people believe, but literally nobody except the most devoted fanboys are saying it, everyone knows Ronaldo is lazy, just like Messi.

Agbonlahor “Yes, Ronaldo has scored but he’s scored goals that Greenwood would have scored, Rashford would have scored in that position,” he told Football Insider.

He states that Ronaldo should be released in the summer.

It is the FA cup, but looks a strong Utd side. But without Ronaldo.

Man United XI: De Gea, Dalot, Lindelof, Varane, Shaw, McTominay, Fred, Fernandes, Greenwood, Rashford, Cavani

If Rangnick is serious about pressing, then Ronaldo will have to used more sparingly anyway, not starting just about every game.

But United weren't really a pressing side under Ole either, i can imagine a certain few other players who are not happy about having to work more either.

We will see how he can keep the squad happy, while also doing what he wants to do.

Well, they have to win something again at some point, right?

Might as well start giving the FA cup a go, only realistic chance they have at a trophy anyway.

I think Ronaldo doesnt take the FA cup serious, its more a 'nice to have' for him, his main goal will be going as far as possible in cl + top4 PL + Portugal qualification, could be wrong though :p

They need a trophy. It is not the PL this season, CL doubtful. FA Cup is all that’s realistic for this season.

With injuries aside, Utd have their strongest side, without Ronaldo. I think he will be on though, when Villa take the lead.
