If you would have been like today a few years ago, the Messi15748 acc would still live

I had him in my top 5 ever since the CL runs. You can check the posts too.

I just don't like the "he's 37 but has the body of a 18 year old!", and the "GOAT mentality, he challenged himself in 3 leagues (mighty Serie A)". Not saying this was you, but in general.

All-time lists feels a bit meaningless for me, comparing players decades apart is difficult, and the further back in time you go, the less footage you will find.

It is difficult.
Further back, yes less footage.
But still possible. Just.

Better than that of 2014, when they had David Luiz, Oscar, Hulk and Fred?

David Luiz, Oscar , Hulk and Fred, would be lucky to make the bench. Tho I think single sub in those days.

As an attacking unit they were an absolute revelation. The defensive minded Italians losing 4-1.

ESPN
On June 21, 1970, Brazil beat Italy 4-1 in Mexico City's Aztec Stadium to win the ninth version of the World Cup with a performance of breathtaking skill. The first half was a relatively even game -- the score at the break was 1-1 -- but after the interval there was no holding Pele, Jairzinho, Gerson, Tostao, Rivelino, Clodoaldo, Carlos Alberto and Co. Brazil ran riot, and set a benchmark for footballing greatness which has served ever since.

His instagram post is gold lmao. The first paragraph: "2021 is coming to an end and it was far from being an easy year, despite my 47 goals scored across all competitions."

Imagine being below Arsenal, Spurs, and West "David Moyes" Ham in the league table and only scoring versus bottom feeders.

Deluded himself into thinking he could power Juve to a CL, only to become R of 16man there.

Deluded himself into thinking he could handle the EPL at 36, only to become Conference Leagueman there.

Manchester United in the Premier League this season:

With Ronaldo on the pitch:
Average goals scored per 90: 1,44
Average goals conceded per 90: 1,81
Average points won: 1,56

I would like to see stats without him. I think Utd is just garbage, with or without him.

With Sancho on the pitch:
Average goals scored per 90: 1,38
Average goals conceded per 90: 0,85
Average points won: 1,87

With Varane on the pitch:
Average goals scored per 90: 1,64
Average goals conceded per 90: 0,68
Average points won: 2,13

Playing with 10 men without the ball gets ugly against most teams in 2022.
It is hard to find evidence anywhere that Ronaldo has improved us, as a team.

In the PL, he's been a complete nightmare. In CL, he's played against Europa opposition.

Juve wasted his prime years

If he stayed at Madrid he has another Balon Dor and and at least another UCL

Feel sorry for the guy
