I have not seen Maradona or Pele at their prime, unlike 1 or 2 users in this forum, so I don't have an objective view on them.
Also was too young to have seen R9 at his prime in 1996.
From 2004, my top 5 players would be:
1. Messi
2. CR7
3. Xavi
4. Ronaldinho
5. Iniesta
Where's Zidane
#6. Not enough sample size for me, as I've only seen him in the WC2006, but he was brilliant in that tournament.
None of us has seen Pele, Zico, Garrincha, George Best or Cruyff play. Of course there are lots of more great ones but... impossible to make these lists.
Some guys here have seen Pele...
Are you 29 years old
I am I'm still a toddler to you

I have seen Pele play. Very unique combination of skill and physicality. I still rate him at three behind Messi and Maradona. I rate Romario highly too
How old are you sir, if I may ask.
