The bias accusation is stupid from every perspective though, it's not as if Blatter picks the winner of the Ballon D'Or (or any other individual award) himself. Even if he was biased, there's no way Messi would profit from it (unless we believe in stories as stupid as the UEFAlona myth).

Anyway most people with a footballing brain prefer Messi to Ronaldo. Messi is pure magic edge of the seat sublime football. There are no words left to describe him. It's like Barca under Pep to Chelsea under Mou. Both are effective, only one is beautiful.
