People saying that ronaldo has a crappy squad, should remember that brazil is not a very good squad either. But neymar has been carrying the team on his own.

Anyone have knowledge on tendinitis and what it could mean for his career?

I think Ronaldo has the skillset to be great well into his 30's. Even as he loses pace he still has his height and long ranging shooting to be a good forward. His passing is also very under-rated. He transitioned from a dribbling supporting player to a clinical goal-scoring machine under Ferguson at United. He built on this at his time at Madrid ... but I think we'll see another transition when his pace goes, perhaps his most interesting one yet.

I think his problem is despite his physique he can't hold off challenges with back against the defenders like Drogba & others.. he will be more an Inzaghi as oppose to Drogba or Batistuta ..etc
I feel his injury will affect his speed a lot & will take him sometime to come in terms with it as he always did ... couple of month of off color form and maybe start to kick start it by January
I still maintain my views that we should have sold him last summer.. despite the success on personal & club level (Ballon D'or & CL ) makes me sound absurd but I've seen it so many times before with players relying on their speed skill
Ronaldo plus side is his never say die attitude.. if he come in terms with the fact that he can't outrun players anymore he will work hard to make himself useful as a no 9 or a 9.5 behind a number 9 (which suits him a lot better ) but as I said it will take sometime to click... If he stays

People find excuses that Ronaldo has a crappy team while Costa Rica tops a group with Uruguay , Italy and England

I hear so many people say this, yes he does carry the team, but the squad is actually worlds appart. Marcelo, Oscar and fernandinho have done well and given Neymar space. With coentrao out Ronaldo have no one of any quality on the left, and Ronaldo is the only forward they have off any quality. Eder is more like the other teams 12th man than a anything. I used to think at least Moutinho was good, but he seems out of form. But yes, Ronaldo should have done better, he havent lifted the team as he should. Neymar have perhaps been the best player in the tournament so far.

I agree..but it's hilarious to see his fans argue this after they blamed Messi for Argentina's exit at the last WC or trying to prove that Argentina has a good squad because they have Kun, Higuain and Di Maria.

He needs to take a rest away from any workout which he always do in his spare time
RM is angry with him for playing the game & it was a big risk & stupidity .. of course when he return to pre-season we will know how bad the damage is

:beer2: Interesting. I think if he players behind a 9 he will have to rely more on his passing and playmaking and cut down on his huge amount of shots per game, if not then surely the number 9 would suffer. His passing is very under rate and if he's willing to let someone else be the star he can go back to being a support forward who provides assists, a bit like the early Ronaldo at United.

He was unlucky today..on another day he could have scored 4 goals. That header in the first half was awful. He should take a lengthy break now, maybe Madrid will leave him out of pre season to allow him to rest.

This isn't true at all, the likes of Oscar have been playing great. Just because someone scores the goals doesn't mean they carry the team. Thiago Silva is doing a fine job keeping a sloppy defence together too. Neymar is certainly the star player though.
