Lol I mean to voters not us. No one is going to turn on the Classico and use that to decide who to vote for.

As of now Cristina has 3 trophies including the UCL. As much as Messi deserves it I don't think he'll get it this year.

This is not how the Ballon d'Or works. What did he win with Real Madrid last year when he won it? That's right.
Scoring a couple against freaking Sweden, some stupid Blatter comments and a re-opening of the votes (this was just glorious ) were enough.

"We are all Cristiano Ronaldo" movement among madristas

Last year was a mess but come on, we won nothing this year and sadly Argentina didn't win the WC. Meanwhile CR7 won UCL breaking the record for most goals in a season, he also got the Golden Boot for Europe and Spain, and 2 other trophies.

I want Messi to win it as much as you all do but it looks like Crissy may win it and rightfully so.

This season when we win the UCL and Liga, Messi will be right back on that stage to receive his Golden Ball in 2016.

Ronaldo is currently leading the race for uefas best player award. Suprisingly Messi isnt in the top 3. Alot of Bayern players on the top 10 list.

If it is based on european football last season Messi doesnt deserve to be in the top three.

It is the biggest games and the trophies won that are taken into account. Messi was not one of the top players if that is the criteria.

Still the best player in world though.

It's not that surprinsing. Ronaldo performed better than Messi in the CL. Pretty weak year for Messi in Europe IMO, which culminated with that awful performance vs Atletico on Calderon.

If last years Ballon Dor is anything to go by then the 3 months leading up to December are all that matters. Ronaldo had the better European season while Messi has the better world cup, but for some reason people have short memories and will vote based on the final 3rd of the year.

I don't expect to see us ever play as badly as we did against Atletico again. Surely Lucho won't have us playing like that, Tata somehow managed to make stars like Xavi, Messi and Iniesta look very average.

Honestly if you really think about it Ronaldo was just there at the right time and was able to capatilize on whatever chance he had to somehow make people believe he was the best player in the world, not to mention what Blatter said to Ronaldo, That gave him more hype than what he deserved, so people in general viewed Ronaldo as the victim and they sympathized for him, which I have no idea why, you can't tell me you don't want to punch his face whenever he acts like a diva on the field? So after the Blatter comments what does he do? Plays in an elimination game where things are crucial and he will have the chance to be the deciding factor whether his national team will go to the WC or not, NOW to the real interesting stuff:

Before he played against the Swiss= he was just a normal player that stepped on the field and had no outstanding performances with his NT, his team performed terribly, but he wasn't helping at all.

Add that to the campaign the media supposedly had against him= his an underdog and when he does well people will view him as some god.
