Well you can take your pick, for me Messi hasn't really been that amazing aside from his assisting, his scoring form has a lot to be desired. Mehh doesnt matter anyway Messi has not managed to distance himself from Ronaldo like before

People can laugh about his lack of assists, but the truth is that he has set up his teammates a good amout of times. He really should have had more assists by now.

Modric, Kroos, Isco and James have great finishing for midfielders but you can't score every time you're in a half decent position. If I applied that same logic then Messi would have 70 assists a season.

Don't get ahead of yourselves madristas. Ronaldo creates chances but that is no where near the level of messi. Those passes also are not because of great vision or anything, it is just that he attracts players towards him and makes a pass. But most of time his team mates does not expect the ball i think, maybe that is why they can't score easily. While messi feeds perfect balls at a perfect time.

Agreed, it is almost as if he is trying deliberately to assist and paint a picture of him being unselfish in the last couple of games.
