Many people care but I don't understand the reason. You can't convince people who think that Ronaldo is better than Messi and vice versa
Fact is that Ronaldo is serious competition for Leo, nobody can deny that and in the end, as you said, titles count.

That's why you dont see me posting in messi's threads about his records.
It's like that trophy he got at the WC for being the best player. I don't care. I wanted him to WIN the WC.
Same here. I would even be ok if Messi becomes the king of assists as long as Barca wins titles.
All of that because I never forget that if messi is the best, that's also because he had, and arguably still has great teammates.
That's also why I dislike that Ballon d'Or farce whether who wins it. Even if Messi wins it, the BD will still be a farce.

Bertus, I don't see how and why Real Madrid will not win the league this year, unless we somehow manage to be super consistent in away games (something not even the mighty Pep Guardiola achieved) and beat Real Madrid at Camp Nou, all in the backdrop of this guy called Luis Enrique.

- Great teammates.
Under Carlo, Benzema became better than Cavani, Falcao and many others imo. Just that is impressive.
The main reason is Carlo anyways.
