Cristiano Ronaldo - v1

I don't get this. How can you get away with such BLATANT corruption of the league in 2015? It's not even the smaller things, this is as blatant as anything can get. What I find really hard to understand is, why do all the other teams, including the almighty FCB, stay quiet?

You hear a few players grumble every now and then, but shouldn't all the teams stand up and protest against this shit, I mean even if they don't have their way, shouldn't they at least come together and voice their ideas? I'm so perplexed how we and all the other teams just sit there and take all this in. Scream, protest, call a joint media conference, do SOMETHING?!

I start to think along the lines of why I should watch the Spanish league, being a die hard FCB supporter. When people start raising these questions, it's a very slippery and dangerous path.

It's a good question. Most teams have no money or power, and right now our president is only worried about the elections. rm and florentino also have a lot of power and influence, not only with lfp, but also fifa. And most of the spanish media is pro-rm. All this corruption will take a while to be erradicated.

Absolutely unbelievable corruption. If he has another issue like this again in 2015 and doesn't get AT LEAST 5 matches then UEFA needs to step in.

This is better than I expected. I thought he is going to get only 1. The cynicism now-days have no boundaries. This massive attacks on Barcelona on every level and desperate support for RM from FIFA and RFEF is a shameless display of corruption. I blame this on FCB board and Barto for failing to address the issue and not being vocal about it. They are after the club and it is open war against us, our board trying to be "diplomatic" with them. And you think Blatter is bad, wait until Figo is elected for FIFA- that man has 0 integrity and hates our club. can't wait until these cowards in FCB board are kicked out of the office.

Our board doesn't care much for football and most of the other teams have very, very little money and power. I get that. Those would be things you would need to see actual change and bring about a cleansing of the system. What I am a bit curious about is the fact that a bunch of teams don't come out and strongly protest this - you know, get some TV mileage, get some headlines going - it may not actually reform the system by itself, but it will at least throw some light on what's happening.

Because, it almost seems that everyone has accepted the fact that Madrid owns the league, and everybody else has settled on playing with a handicap. Surely, if this was the case, teams would quit and stop playing in the league. What is more likely is that the other teams acknowledge the obvious influence in play, but are just too lazy to do anything about it because most of these teams apart from 4 or 5 are fighting relegation every other season - and are happy to just be playing top flight football and improving their pathetic balance sheet's. It's all so, morose.

Kinda fucking sad that only a few selective teams in football have the money to corrupt things or have the right to be corrupted. Ronaldo getting 2 matches is cringe worthy, dude has had past incidents like this.

Well the EPL is better than La Liga in this regard atleast. Joke of a league body and joke of a club- The perfect combination, they deserve each other

Villarato!
Expected comment from a rm supporter, ofc. Violent behaviour is sanctioned with 4 to 12 matches, cr gets 2 being a repeat offender, but it's all a big joke...

It is a big joke. It's a massive joke how the entire forum blames a club for fixing the situation, even though they had nothing to do with what the ref wrote in the report. And of course it's RMs fault that RFEFs policies are relying completely on such reports as opposed to the all accessible footage. Indeed scandalous, lol. Corruption! Franco! Villarato! Floro bought the league!

You know, I'm just gonna sit here and enjoy the internet rage. It brings out the best in some of you on this forum, the mods and it even got to poor Bojan :D

PS: Look back at my last post prior to the official news and my stance on Ronaldo's acts. Maybe that will calm your outraged tits regarding my "expected RM supporter comments".

Haha remember when Sergio got just one for trying to kick Messi's legs off continously in the 5-0 game?

I'm actually shocked Tina didn't get one match only.

Yeah, everything's right in Spain and Perez don't control anything. Keep it up.

Sure! Nobody has a photo of Perez giving the cash to authorities, so there's no corruption. You don't feel the trend that FIFA and RFEF decisions are more favoring RM and not so much other clubs? Extending deadlines for BdO while Hacienda is auditing almost everyone in Barca: starting from president and going all the way to regular players? Coincidence? You can get all happy and laugh about it , but corruption destroyed boxing as a sport and football is not far from it.

Pepe got 0 when the ref ''forgot'' the stomping of Messi's hand in the report.
To end corruption we need enough media attention for the cause, I think the logical way to approach it is social media so it leads to debate and discusssion when the media picks up on it and the rfef will be called out for what it is, a corrupt Madrid favoured governing body which is worth investigating.
Its the best approach since we cant directly control the media but can be a spark that intitiates a fire trough social media.

One of the first things that should change is using the ref report instead of video material, its a tool that helps them protect players and avoid suspensions.
