Cristiano Ronaldo - v1

I do not see where the problem is with Cristiano's party. Football is his job and as bad as the day was he has the right to celebrate his birthday and be happy at the party.

Yup, I have zero issues with his party, but I can't deny having some fun watching the meltdown from Madrid fans who for some reason do have an issue with it.

They do not like to see their players smiling and partying after such an epic defeat but have to understand of course that a birthday party has nothing to do with a football game which is their job.
I bet if his birthday (or any player's birthday) would be around the CL final he would not plan a party beforehand because nobody would want to celebrate anything after a lost final. In this case it is absolutely understandable though.

But he shouldn't be blaming anyone, that's the point. You back up your team-mates, you don't shake your head and put them down.

I agree with that you shouldn't blame your teammates, but most professional player in the world does it (especially attackers, their reactions when they don't get the ball or another person shoots or misses or whatever ), Ronaldo shouldn't be singled out for it

Mendes said the party was planned months in advanced, they booked a restaurant, and it was also his niece's birthday. I'm sure it sucked for Madrid fans they lost like that but its mental for them to think he should cancel his 30th birthday party where guests were most likely coming from abroad. Not only is football just his profession but he has a right to a personal life with his family and friends.

BTW Marca saying senior members of the squad aka Ramos &Iker weren't happy with the party lol. The whole team was invited but only Marcelo, Pepe, James, Coentrao, Modric, Keylor, & Khedira went.

I agree with that as well, that's just hyperbolic nitpicking. And Ronaldo should be the last player to be scrutinized by their fans. There's an £80 million white elephant not too far from him on the pitch.

In football you win and lose. Life goes on. Why should he cancel his birthday party especially one which is planned months in advance. I'm sure if Messi had a party under such circumstances cules wouldn't complain like this. Madridistas are just frustrated at being owned time and again by the "noisy neighbors" and venting their frustration at any possible outlet

I think that after a big lose like that, the Cristiano's party shall have had to be more discreet... We know that his party was organized for a long time.

Cules would have been angry, if Messi had had a party after the recent Clasico. I'm sure about this.

If Barça won, I don't mind, unless there's excess. There, that shall be annoying and we know the decorations of the football.

"The Portuguese is looking for a solution to his problem. He doesn't feel comfortable, something which has been easy to see in recent games."

it's true. only they're making it look like it's related to his knee =)))))))))

"The type of stem cell and blood treatment suggested require that he spend at least six weeks on the sidelines, something Ronaldo simply cannot afford to do."

so much bullshit, they want to make it seem like he's sacrificing himself. omg what a hero.

"The Portuguese's knee hurts whenever he tries to sprint, which is why his famous runs have given way to him playing closer to or even inside the 18-yard box, more as an out-and-out centre-forward than a winger."

WHAT? =)))))))))))))))) my god..

Well sure but that's a spur of the moment thing, i.e. getting mad when you don't get a pass. Ronaldo is being singled out in that video because it's a couple of minutes after the goal when he should be focusing on rallying his team mates, not putting them down.

¡Gr?*cies Xavi!
It's not like he contributes a lot in his current form, so six weeks out wouldn't mean much at this stage.

I believe Ronaldo could have genuine knee problems, however it's pathetic how they only bring it up when he's doing bad. Plays well, he's fine, plays bad, oh we were keeping it secret that his kneee has being acting up
