It was quite clear he is carrying an injury in the Atletico game. He had no real power and drive in any of his runs.

Ronaldos game is all about movement off the ball and his desire to get in goal scoring positions. When he is hampered in that it shows up some of his deficiencies on the ball.

You can't know that with certainty. He has had plenty of such poor performances throughout his time at RM when fit. Especially against top opposition. It's not like his supposed knee problems have given him much trouble this season looking at his goal tally in the league for instance. I recall that he himself proclaimed his knee to be healthy a few months ago.

It smells like a petty excuse for his poor form of late. All players are struggling with their physiques from time to time. Messi is no different. Players of that quality who play 65-70 games a year cannot possibly be 100% in every game.

Injuries are part of the game too and he has turned 30 years. Moreover he has already played almost 750 official games for club and country. That's a lot more appearances than what an average footballer is going to accomplish throughout an entire career!

When was the last time he bossed a game? sucks or mediocre everytime then scores a tap in or penaldo and pr machine labels him goat....
Everytime he struggles scoring >>>>> le knee plays up again.
If he scores 10 goals in the next 4 games, he is magically healed again. If that doesnt work then blame the other players.

Excuses are rolled out for every player when they play poorly. Messi included... injured, tactics, board, saving for WC etc.

He isn´t playing well for atleast 2 months now.

In reality players cant play at 100% all the time, its normal. Messi wasnt either at the start of the season when his finishing was way off compared to nowadays.
But with Ronaldo is Always the same excuse whenever he doesnt score for a while, he plays the same basically all season but a little worse even this month, most likely due to his lovelife getting rocked. Yet its Always, the knee.
Just like during the wc despite having most shots during the group stage.

Not for me, he looked different in that last few games but before the red card he had scored 10 in 8 games.

No way has he looked as out of sorts as he did at weekend for the last two months.

Why are there not multiple players around the world doing what Ronaldo is doing if it is all penalties/tap ins?

Ronaldo is 50% skill, 50% hype. World needs a big "VS", and two biggest clubs in the world have two biggest starts. What world can't accept that one is better then the other by considerable margin. I've been watching Real week in week out, and even when he was scoring like crazy his game was lacking. But last two months he is just invisible...Rock must have rocked his soul, alongside Irina. If it was Messi we would crucify him...

Most people do accept Messi is the better player and he gets far more praise as 'best ever' etc.

Ronaldos all round game has never been all that brilliant save for some great strikes and headers. His strength is his movement off the ball and the goal scoring chances he gets and he has been doing that fine over the past few months. Save for the last couple of games.

Messi is clearly the better player but to dismiss Ronaldo as 50% hype 50% skill is totally clueless and wont be something that is shared by the majority of those that have played/managed him.

People on here laugh at the way Madrid fans talk about Messi then in next breath talk like ten year olds trying to run down anything Ronaldo does.
