Cristiano Ronaldo - v1

saved my day:lol:

Btw you can see in many situations, that he clearly lost a lot of his pace. He used to be one of the fastest players over 40 meters, without that he is simply not that good anymore, because he doesn't have such a good ball-contol as Messi.

He reminds me a bit of Michael Owen who was always a great finisher, but he used to have blistering pace as well and could take players on. Ronaldo became a much more complete player than Owen was (Owen was better than Ronaldo as a teenager) but Owen did his hamstring when he was young and his pace went and he became injury prone. From there he basically became a goalscorer and he wouldn't do much else, he just didn't get on the pitch much because of injury (or lack of chances in Madrid).

Ronaldo has been lucky with injuries but it's all about goals now. He just shoots on sight and plays for Penaldos and free kicks on the edge of the box and when Madrid have the ball in his mind he's always thinking about where to position himself for a tap in. He'd score a ridiculous amount of goals in France for PSG because he'd just be playing against Espanyol and Malmo every week for a world class team.

"After stomach pain held him back last week against Granada, he is now.... BACK!!!!" - On Marca's cover for tomorrow, no doubt.

MOTM. 2 goals,1 assist, all 5 aerials won,3 dribbles(out of 4). Good performance against a team that was 6th in the league. He must continue this if we want any trophy this season.

I like the fact that the criteria for success for Cronaldo now is having a good game against La Liga's number 6.

So what, only games vs the teams in top 4 count? So vs 3 teams,6 games a year? The other 32 games don't even matter? Mourinho is that you?

He has been bad this whole season despite what his goal tally says, but still he's in the race for the pichichi. Good for him but he is too inconsistent nowadays and I doubt he'll lead madrid to a title.

It just seems somewhat redundant to mention the fact that Bilbao were placed 6th, as if it's some great big feat to play a decent game against them.

But hey, whatever floats your boat...

(is he back now then?)

in madrid's case, i'd say the games v top 4 count the most. considering that's where you have lost liga almost every year in the last few years. :neymar:
