Cristiano Ronaldo - v1

Hmmm...I don't think you've been watching football lately

I don't think you have.

Literally look back 10 days and he scored against us at the Camp Nou and win the game and shifted the tie towards Real Madrid's victory today to guide them into the semis.

My point is already proven.

Look back this whole season. You have proven nothing, but joined the hype train.
Just shows how short memories most of the fans have.
Ronaldo will have his shot in incoming CL matches against strong opponents. Wolfsburg was an outsider from the beginning and it can be consider to have very successful CL season coming this far and beating RM at home, especially when one considers that it's their third appearance in CL.

6 Ballons for Messi

but what if he wins 7??
Not so impressive hattrick you say?

Without him, Madrid would've been eliminated from CL tonight whetever you like it or not.

Yes but the goals themselves were nothing to write home about.
Also it's something that you lot keep overlooking but it was against wolfsburg, they are 8th in bundesliga.

6 Ballons you are being a salty idiot.

Are we thrilled that Ronaldo scored another hat-trick in an important CL match that Real needed to win by 3 goals? Of course not. We were all cheering for Wolfsburg.

Did Cristiano exemplify commitment, drive and leadership today? No doubt. You have to recognize and respect that, especially if, as is the case in the Neymar, Messi and Suarez (to a lesser extent) threads, those are precisely the attributes we complain MSN is lacking at the moment.

It goes without saying that if Messi had done the same thing, you'd be praising him. And rightly so. Just because you dislike Ronaldo does not mean you can negate all and each of his feats.

Can't be arsed to get too involved with this but he got them through to the semi's when they were under pressure, so he deserves credit for that.

He is,and always will be a monumental prick but he showed up tonight when it mattered.

Personally, I think Messi showed much more in the last season vs City even though he didn't score a single goal, then Ronaldo did tonight vs. Wolfsburg. Sometimes you just need a luck. Ronaldo had it tonight, but I'll also admit he has done everything in his power to grab that luck.

Obviously there's a certain amount of bias when it comes to Ronaldo on here but props to him tonight, but we can't forget that before he scored the winner against a bad version of Barca and a hat trick against a 8th place Bundesliga team at the bernabeu he was having a woeful season with 95% of his goals against poor teams. Now everyone is scared like he's in god mode but I suspect that is because we are going through our own troubles so it's exaggerated, 3 goals against Wolfsburg at home is standard practice for him.. I'd still bet on him to struggle against a tough team on the top of their game.

As much as we despise the narcisist prick he is more clutch than most and stepped up when needed which is what good players do.
Its also pretty amazing how he is able to carry his athletic ability into his 30's, going all out 60 matches a year for 90 minutes with barely any injuries or his age catching up like it does to any player that relies on athleticism when they are around 30.
Im honestly interested in his diet and recovery program. It takes a lot of discipline to eat around 4/5k daily, hit your goals, avoid injuries and to the same boring work outs day after day for hours straight.

Ummm he has been scoring consistently all season in La Liga and in the Champions league.

The reason why they are still in the CL and in La Liga even after our record unbeaten run is because this guy carried Madrid with his scoring. Yes we fucked up our recent weeks but Ronaldo hasn't stopped doing what he's been doing all season, scoring and that's why Madrid have managed to close the gap

In case you didn't know he's top scorer in both competitions.

I don't think Ronaldo is capable of doing something like what Messi did against Bayern last season, but what he has done recently is incredibly clutch and being clutch at this point in the season is what's important.

At the end of the day you can argue all you want but your arguments about me having short memory have about are about as solid as Wolfsburg's wall.

Greatest of all Time!

The only reason he has less trophies than Messi is because Barca >>>>>>>> Real Madrid. The one season Madrid was actually better as a team, Barca were trophyless while Madrid won Copa and Champions League.

Also, a moment of silence for those who thought Messi would end as the top Champions League goalscorer :rofl1:

You are overrating his performance, he dissapeared in plenty of games, padded his statts vs small teams while being ghost vs a left table team.
But he is being clutch when it matters like vs us and today and the way you remember his season is exactly how the majority of people willas well in hindsight.
