Daniel Alves

Over the years i'd say he paid off his price tag. It's not like Torres where he literally was a waste of money completely. Dani has been vital to our squad for years (especially during an injury crisis) so he has more than proven his worth and helped us.

That's true. Unlike Torres and Sanchez, for example, Alves has had a (long) period of being crucial to the success of the team. But he hasn't been that consistent for a while now and this needs to be addressed. We can't just go on pretending that he's still the old Alves if he's not.

He's definitely not as good as before. However it's not like he's useless. Still a vital member of our squad and will continue to be for at least 2 years.

I love Dani's competitive spirit, that can't be discounted on a team with so much talent...Willing to win, even battles against your marker, are vital...You could see Eliseu spark Dani to up his game and usually that sort of competition brings the best out of these champions, Alves included

How many times do we have to concede a goal in that same way like tonight's first??

Against Sevilla, Madrid and Sociedad....

What about THAT goal vs Real Madrid, the same excuse that Alexis fans use?

Alexis fans, at least me, even though I'm not a fan, but consider me one if it makes you feel good, don't use the RM goal as an excuse, they mostly (well I do) back up their claims with a convincing and logical argument that many people have difficulty comprehending. Big difference son. Blatant complacency and nervousness/anxiety are different things.

I always wonder why he sticks so close to the central defender, he should have at least been a meter or 2 closer to the attacker. Same mistake against Madrid, total unawareness of his opponent, tactical order or just airheaded foolishness ? I think it's the first. Tito should sort this out.

Yes. The team was bad as a whole on the 2nd half, but the 1st sociedad goal was a repeat of a mistake he's been making a lot lately.

yeah after that wonderful assist he became worse and worse throughout the game. a lot of players including gerard, mashe and valdes were also bad.

He's making that mistake since he exists. Check Sneijder's goal in the first leg against Inter in 2010.
Yep, but it used to be on occasion. Now it's too frequent. He's a good defender when focused.
