I remember his supercopa performances against Cr, he absolutely annihilated him

Yep, but it used to be on occasion. Now it's too frequent. He's a good defender when focused.

Yes, well. He's declining. Started in the second half of last season. The Dani we used to know pretty much died after the Santos CWC game. :(

After his divorce he surely went downhill. It's sad to see, I still hope he'll find his better form.

No point in footballers getting married. Most won't stay married. Poor Dani I wish he didn't continue the Brazilian stereotype

How many times do we have to concede a goal in that same way like tonight's first??

Against Sevilla, Madrid and Sociedad....

I don't think it was Alves fault. Could be a tactical mistake Tito needs to address.
They all swarm wherever the ball is and ignore the far side. While it may work in the middle, you need to take less risk at the back as simple change of sides leaves us too exposed.

Yes. The team was bad as a whole on the 2nd half, but the 1st sociedad goal was a repeat of a mistake he's been making a lot lately.

It would be extemly odd, but is it possible to be some kind of tatical decision? I'm not a tatics expert, but with that the central zone would be more well covered, and he is quick to get to the line when needed.
But that might just be some stupid possibility

How many times do we have to concede from the right while he's double marking someone along the CBs? You'd think he would have learned by now

Ever since his divorce and the new deal he signed he looks like he has become too comfortable. He was crucified vs Sevilla and Real Madrid when we conceded from the right side and still he hasn't learned from his mistakes.
He's constantly out of position, doesn't track back fast enough, his crosses are intended more for killing birds these days and gives away the ball cheaply too much
Barca mngt are too sentimental with players. Its great that our team is more like a family but sometimes we should take a leaf out of the books of clubs like Man utd, real madrid while dealing with underperformers. The bench will do him good. Montoya/Adriano should be preferred.

If he doesn't improve by the end of the season we should cash in on him.

He was good until the whole team started playing like shit. He's been below par this season though.
Still, imo we should have a bit of patience. Look at Pique, he was below par for the whole of last year, but has been playing great recently (barring yesterday's game). When on form, Alves is probably the best RB in the world. We have to try to get him back on form. At some point though, we'll have to say that enough is enough, like we did with Ronaldinho. Don't think we're at that point yet. Anyways, I say start Montoya or maybe Adriano against Malaga.

You're right, it happened couple of times on the left side too while we were defending a set piece.
