The amount of times we score a goal from a Dani Alves cross(TM) is about the amount one can expect from a randomly placed, blind cross that will land somewhere in a 40m radius around the goal. He keeps firing them in, so we're bound to get lucky once or twice a season and score, but that doesn't mean it's any point in doing them. I wonder how many more goals we could have scored if he instead used his dribling to cut inside and look for a more deadly pass along the ground into the box. He did this a lot against City if my memory serves me right (used his dribling to cut in and pass instead of crossing), and it created a lot of great goalscoring chances and more linkup play.
He has that assist on Neymars header in the supercup though, and that basically gave him "a license to cross" for the rest of the season. It's funny how the least dangerous attack we have actually gave us a trophy, haha.
