Daniel Alves

Strange. Dunga didn't even look at Alves once after becoming Brazil's coach again. I guess his good form + experience is what made him call him up.

Although I don't expect him to start. I think Fabinho will get the nod.

Alves negotiates hard for his contracts, including taking lots of shots at management. So does Rooney. In a short career, each contract is quite important, especially the final big contract as the player gets older. I'm so glad he has re-upped, I just could not picture Barca next year without Alves on the right side.

He most likely won't start. If Fabinho stink up the joint then most likely he suit up but personally I rather Marquinhos play right back. Daniel just never convinced me that he can replicate his club form internationally.

I would rather have a stadium and fans that strike fear and make opposition uncomfortable like the Allianz, Calderon, and others. We are the largest and most successful club in the modern game and seeing how quiet and subdued the Camp Nou is bar a few occasions is quite frankly embarrassing.

It shows a fine degree of maturity on the part of the Camp Nou crowd.. Its great that families can come in and make it a real festive atmosphere. No rowdiness for me.

They're back. Rosell allowed them back again, however they're not the group they were a long time ago.

They were banned for a reason though. The Boixos Noix went through a major change in the 80s, 90s from an socialist-liberal ultras group to a fascist criminal organization vastly involved in the organized crime in Catalunya.

Only a portion of them were allowed back, and I still don't think they can display affiliation. So they're not really "back". I can't remember where I've mentioned this before, but my friend's dad was a member and he passed away recently still with a stadium ban.

Atmosphere is pretty bad compared to other big clubs though. Let's say ManU or any english team for that matter. That's certainly something Barcelona should try to improve, atmosphere.

A lot of English stadiums are ghost towns, to be honest. Part of the reason why I have explained below, but some are just dismal even with what they've got.

Anfield is really overrated IMO.

Anfield isn't overrated in the context of English stadiums. There are fan regulations in place, I think the Liverpool fans do a great job with what they are allowed to do. I was admittedly underwhelmed by the atmosphere when I went there (in this case, it sounds better on TV) but it's not just down to the fans not being passionate enough or anything like that. Barca also have a certain amount of restrictions, not allowing fans to create their own tifo displays is probably the biggest one, the mosaics are made by the club so there will always be a certain corporate feel to them I guess.

I am probably also spoiled after going to a Milan derby so stadium atmosphere almost anywhere else will pale in comparison.

You can have both, some clubs have family sections that are on opposite sides of the stadium to where the ultras would normally sit, for example. And I don't think he's talking about allowing violence or anything like that, a group of fans can be intimidating and strike fear just by being loud, chanting, bringing in banners, etc.

Family can still come in stadiums like Signal Iduna Park(Borrussia) and Allianz, and there the crowd sing really loud

I love at the Camp Nou that you can hear fans clapping after every great pass, trick, movement. Something you'll never hear at those loud, and unfortunately often moronic, stadiums. People go to the Camp Nou to watch football, not to yell like a bunch of monkeys. Great stadium and fans, simply unique.

doesn't the noise also have to do with the structure of the stadium? and lack of roof which would amplify the echoing noise?

I hate that. I want our crowd to be really really hostile. It would make watching Barca literally ten times better.

Also a bit of creativity with the chants please? Some actual rabble rousers in the stadium? "Barca Barca barca" and "meeeessi meeeessi meeeessi" get old real quick.
