Really sad about his performances, looks like he played for his contract and checked back out again.

If it wasn't for the ban he'd have been out the summer, right time to leave. His good last few months should have been his swansong because he was terrible for a while before that.

It's annoying that out of the three of Xavi, Pedro and Alves, Dani was the expendable one, but because he was considered first XI we were happy to let the others go.

What are you even talking about? Dani Alves was never expendable since he came at the club. We won a fucking treble with him as a star performer just a few months ago.

I thought people understood by now that shit form doesn't mean shit player. I guess not.

With Dani it's more of a motivation problem than anything. Xavi's problem was age which can't be fixed, and Pedro just wasn't good enough for the role in the team he wanted (starting XI).

He seemed lazy today. Gave up without even trying on a few passes that weren't directly to his feet. Should do better.

You're welcome
His first touch somehow on long crosses were phenomenal while his first touch on easy passes to him were bad.

Lmao, true enough.

He's lucky our midfield is thin, or I'd be campaigning Sergi be the starting RB. Certainly on merit he should be.

Best player in the world at unnecessarily losing the ball like an idiot dribbling near his own penalty box.

Dani's been in shit form for 80% of the last year, then. And I agree it's form, not aptitude. But he only really performed for three months tops, admittedly the best three months to perform in, but still.

He is just too safe. He only performed last season when he was motivated by the treble and/or looking for a new team/maybe renew at Barça. This season again he got played immediately in every single game after coming back from injury while there are so many RB options.

Who?Douglas? Adriano? those aren't really options
The only one there for now is Roberto ,and when Dani came back Roberto was actually needed as a midfielder again tbh
After Iniesta comes back ,and when Vidal is registered things will be different .but for now he is our best and at some times(when Roberto needed in midfield) only option
