I thought he had a great performance apart from those dying minutes. He has been a combination of rb and midfielder for some years now, but this time it was even more noticeable. Bein sport commentators were saying that he had the most touches of all the players, just gives you the idea of how much he participates in our build-up. Wherever we needed superior numbers on the right flank, he was there. A very special right-back indeed. After losing some pace he has had to evolve, and he has done that. A sign of an intelligent footballer.

He was definitely asking for it all night, had clearly decided to play a one-upmanship game against the Athletic press from the beginning. Agreed, it was a matter of time before one of his mistakes would turn costly. Particularly dumb with minutes to go when a time-wasting blast clearance is the easy choice.

You gotta love Alves' and Busquets' confidence, but they can be too lax at the wrong place/time.

Those mistakes are kinda a part of Dani's playing style. I'm not trying to defend him, it was a horrible lost possession inside the last five minutes, but I'm almost used to those. Doesn't erase his nice contribution in the first half especially.

Nah he was shit tonight. Also his numerous knee-height passes when he could just play a simple pass over the ground annoyed me so much.
