Daniel Alves

Poor game. Still best rightback in the world when on form.

That is such rubbish.

1. Even when he's playing well he is no where near the best RB in the world.
2. Defenders, more than any other position, require consistency in their performances to be considered good/the best.

Dani Banani in form is one of the best players in one of the best teams in the world. Saying he's not the best RB in the world is just stupid.
Who's better than Dani? Some overhyped fullback from PL?

Philipp Lahm and Dani are on the same level imo. Alves in top form is able to influence the game more but Lahm is the more complete player. They are by far the best RBs of their generation.

Especially in Ivanovic's case I mean has anyone watched him in the past couple of seasons? I mean sure he scores a few set piece goals every now and then but he has been easily Chelsea's weaklink in the defense and it has showed this season as he just has a torrid time handling your average EPL winger.

Alves has gotten old but without a doubt when he's on form he's still easily one if not the best RB in the world.

Alves is still a great right back, although I wouldn't really say the Brazilian is far from being the player he was under the Pep-era. He really struggles when it comes to defending hence why Rakitic is forced to cover for him. Also, Alves is inconsistent, we have complained at him a lot of times at this season already.

Imo, Dani isn't a regular RB anymore. Yes, Rakitic covers for him, but that's because Dani also plays in midfield. And he's only inconsistent when he can, imo. In big games, he's there.
