His contract is out this summer. I see people mentioning him in their XI's for next season, but I don't think we should count on him as one of 2 RB's.

If we sign Azpi and Mazraoui I don't see any use for Alves.

At the very least we should aim for a set of fullbacks with Alba, Dest, Mazraoui and Azpi/Alves. With Mazraoui and Dest being the main RB's no matter who the 4th is.

Having Alves at absolute minimum wage in the squad as some sort of playing coach wouldn't be the end of the world.

Maybe we plan to sell Dest to make some money for future transfers and we can't let Alves be the only RB at 38-39.
