To be fair Trent was awful today. Dest still has promise and Alba is still reliable. Roberto is trash and Alves is old though. We definitely need a quality wingback, one that can play both sides would be perfect. Not many players out there though like Adriano was for us, he was underrated a bit.

Adama is lazy, Dembele works harder than him.

Adama isn't a defender. At worst he can play RM in a 3-5-2, but even then, he's not effective.

His ONLY strength is dribbling. He's so mediocre at everything else. If you stick him at RB he'll get to use his dribbling abilities 1/10th of the time he's doing it at RW, which means he'll be absolutely useless and additionally a liability in defence.

No wonder he plays at right wing being right footed, he's the most one-dimensional professional footballer in the world.

There is not a club in world that would pay that for Alves.

It is getting to point it is jobs for the boys.

Of all the changes needed none of them are being addressed. Team is getting older again.

Go and buy full backs and sort out the basics in team before chasing old stars and Spanish internationals.

the rumor is we will 'listen to offers' above 25 m
and bottom line is that the player has to accept such possible offer, which Dest IMO will never.

He will stay put, and if Azpli is transferred in,

Disagree. He is the best we have atm and the one with the highest ceiling.

Unfortunately, it looks like we have Azpli tied up for the RB position this summer.
The best we can hope for is him and Dest playing the position 90% of the time, and gradually the older one getting less minutes

Not a good defender and not nearly enough quality in final third.

Flatters to decieve and got to point potential is not a strong enough argument.

May well stay if little interest in him but Barca/Xavi would sell tomorrow if could.

I think Dest has improved a lot, he took a good leap in defensive side between first and second season and his attack improved a little too. Need to learn to make a cross tbf.
I agree that he is the best RB we have (considering Roberto injury past 2 years) and I also agree that it isn't enough for us.
I honestly think he is a solid back up who is actually versatile, for that he is worth keeping but with an idea that we need someone that will bench him

I think we'll keep Dani until the World Cup regardless, just to give him the best chance possible to get into the Brazil team. And it seems that's exactly what the club are going with, considering reports that we're set to extend him until December 2022. After that, I could see him retire anyway.
