Believing one gender more by default is as sexist as it gets. Oh the man must have done it because women wouldn't lie about these things. Sure, good women don't, but women with bad characters and low morals do.

Every good person caught in the middle of this can pay a big price regardless of gender. They should focus more on separating credible and good principled people from the bad apples. It is more difficult to do that though when bad apples from the men side team up with bad apples from the women squad.

Of course, it's also much easier to use toxic ideology and paint everything with a broad stroke, than to actually treat each case separately and use universal logic and principles. Then he said there was no penetration
Then when there was DNA evidence of penetration he admitted the penetration

Also part of her testimony was that when they were in the club he was groping her and taking her hand and forcing it on his dick.

He denies this but it’s confirmed by CCTV evidence

Yet reddit defended Ronaldo, who is definitely as bad as Alves has been accused of being, and unlike Alves has not been acquitted in a court of law.

It's about how popular/liked you are, not what people actually believe. One celebrity can be forgiven for the exact same crime a less popular one is castigated for.

Ronaldo is much more popular with a lot of cranks than Alves is, hence the cluelessness on reddit.

Actually I take SOME OF IT back - reddit can be good on video games, films and books. Basically anything that isn't football, politics or them talking about how fucked up their own lives are.

It's a good site to get information about films and stuff, if you wanna research or read opinions on films. But when it comes to current affairs or discussion of celebrity misdemeanours or feminist subreddits or anything like that, it is a huge no-no.

It also has a lot of people pretending to be lawyers in these topics to give their comments more 'gravitas'.
