Well I wasn't saying which was better. I'm saying which was more useful for Spain, as Silva plays a different kind of game.

Like I said, Silva is more unique, and therefore, probably, maybe a bit more useful to Spain than Cesc, since Spain have Xavi. But Xavi may need some rest, plus he will not be around forever.

Did he play as a false 9? Was too tired to watch the whole game, fell asleep around the 30 minute mark. But Villa was clearly on the left flank and Pedro surely didn't play centrally. So Silva must have played as a false 9. Man, I really wish del Bosque would play a 4-3-3 false 9 barcaesque system instead of the Xabi-Busquets double pivot thing.

Yes, he did. And he was awesome. Actually, there's a debate in Spain whether La Roja should change formation to Barcasque 4-3-3. This would probably mean Silva or Cesc in false 9 role and dropping Xabi Alonso from midfield.

He only signed a 4 year deal in 2010 so it might be his plan to join Barca or Real in 2013? He will still only be 27.

Real should have got Silva instead of Ozil I think,Ozil goes missing in the big games and Silvas better at keeping possession. But I guess that wouldn't be a useful for a team like Real when Ronaldo has 10 shots a game.

Matas the biggest traitor to La Liga as far as am concerned, the first chance to go to a PL club and get loads of money he went.He signed a 5 year deal as well.

In 2008 if we signed him instead of Robbie Keane we would have won the league.

Nah we had Riera to give us that balance. Whilst Keane was a crap signing, we needed that striking depth and we should have replaced him in January 2009 instead we didn't and only had 2 strikers in our squad. That lack of striking depth in our squad cost us more imo because we drew too many games.

Most amazing thing is: City got him for a bargain. € 29 million. Cheaper than Di Maria.
