I would say that Silva is probably the best midfielder in the league. Not by a lot but I would say so.

If he scored more goals he would be complete.

He is probably the most technically gifted

Exactly. Plus where will he play when he is competing for places with Cesc, Iniesta, Alexis and Messi? It would be a very foolish decision to join them, where he won't get game time.

I'd understand if he wanted to leave City in 2-3 years time, however there are plenty of other major clubs, in top european leagues, that he'd walk into their team - and I include Real Madrid in that. Silva would walk into their current team.

Silva could replace Villa for us in 2 - 3 years time on the wings. Pedro, Sanchez, Silva for 2 positions wouldn't really mean being overcrowded (depends on Deulofeu's progress as well). Also Silva isn't below the level of Pedro or Sanchez, that's really not that hard of a competition for Silva. 3-4-3 with Sanchez and Silva on the wings, a ball possession fetishist's dream.

Basically playing with 6 playmakers who are the most comfortable ones on the ball in world football. You could also play Iniesta on LW and add Thiago to the middle. Man, I really need to buy Fifa 12 soon.

Id say in the summer or next ull hear some home coming calls from him but Real is the side more open to him than Barca and they will need more of finsiher to replace Villa than Silva or else Messi really would be to realied upon
