He's been quite bad but to be honest, I feel like he could be better than some of our current midfielders if he was given the type of faith Gomes has been given. Probably not Barca quality, but at least on his day he could pop up with a decent showing against weak opposition, which is something we used to wave off as being "easy"...

Both him and Gomes should be sold. They are used to playing when there is a lot of space they can use. At Barca space comes in low quantities.

What happened to Gomes just needing time, patience, a new manager and less boos from fans?

I usually don't jump on the players' neck within 2-3 months after they were signed. After watching him this full season almost I think he is not fit for this club, and we are not in a position where we can give him a lot of time either.

But I won't sell him for peanuts either. 25m. at least.

I would be all right with him being loaned out instead of sold. That way we can follow him a little longer.
Gomes+Arda should be gone, that would make space for Roberto, Alena and a new signing (or two)..

No loan, doubt he will accept it nor that the club will have interest in that
Either put faith in him or move on, and this will depend on numerous factors mainly due to the fact it seem we will need to spend big, that will mean we will need to get money from selling
Denis,Arda,Gomes,Rakitic & Rafinha should be all available for the highest bidders and the decision to sell them should depend on who is coming, what offer we get and the amount of money we would need.

Would also move on Mathieu, Mascherano, and Paco. If we could get anything at all for Vermaelen we should try as well.

You are right, maybe he wouldn't accept a loan once again. I'm not 100 % sure that he is ready to give up the Barce-dream, but if we get a fine price, it makes sense to replace him.

I think it is hard to say how much money we can spin on those players - Denis, Arda, Gomes & Rafinha should be sold for decent amounts each, there will be teams who need them - below our level. Rakitic is way more tricky - I would only sell him for chinese/PL-money, tbh - a 30M 'gift' is out of the question.

It is Multi-factorial, sort of depending on who could come and the new game plan and what type of offer we get. Rakitic is 29 so this will be last chance to get real money for him. I still believes many coaches will love to have his service specially in EPL. If we get 35M+ for him I would sell tbh. Although the club might want to retain as much stability in the squad as we can.

Barçapocalypse NOW!
Although the club might want to retain as much stability in the squad as we can.

Which is what the club has been trying to do without success by keeping ageing stars unchallenged... In my opinion, the overhaul should start now, even if it's hard for all of us...

Things as they are now are already pretty hard. I'd rather lose 0-3 and 0-4 with a squad of developing players than a squad of past-it old men.

I want changes, but stability and building on what you have was always one of our keys for success,we haven't changed 3 starters in one season in over a decade for example. And we actually had huge success with such approach.
This team has reached CL QF,will finish 2nd in Liga and CDR winner most probably. They need changes but to say we need an overhaul is an overreaction. An overhaul could be the easiest way for self-destruction too.
You start rebuild with young players and your stars like Messi or Neymar wouldn't want to be part of it because they want to win now. Slow continuous changes has been always the best way.
We will keep MSN,Pique,Busquets,Umtiti and most probably Alba from our starters along MATS. After that it is multi-factorial as I said.
Keep moving the dead weight first, see what you can get for the players you might change and build on that

We aren't even close to "things being pretty hard" atm. You need to get a look on Inter,Milan,Valencia or Barca 99-2000. We have been blessed with Barca football that we consider the current situation as very bad one

Why would you say that? Real Madrid's star players are older than ours, born in 1985 and 1986. Our golden generation of 1987 born players are turning 30. Age basically means nothing at this stage, our squad is exhausted because it had no rest in the last 2 years, bad transfers and transfer ban by FIFA, minimal squad rotation by Lucho, bad fitness coaching, Copa Americas every summer, injuries...

I'm talking about losing with players like Iniesta, Mathieu, Mascherano and Arda getting the nod ahead of younger talents despite not performing on an adequate level.

You're welcome
lol he trolled Ronaldo. Not sure if it was after tonight's match, probably. But on the locker room post-match picture he wore Arda's no.7 jersey and had no shorts on.
