It is questionable even whether it is worth to change a formation and style for talented players like Neymar.
Denis is so poor to average that any change with our formation wouldn't improve him too much.
I also don't see him anywhere close to top teams in his future.
5th and 6th placed teams in Spain (and teams like Everton) will be a maximum of his career.
In any bigger club, he will probably be a sub with 15 appearances per season.
He is just not good enough for the elite clubs and that's it.

Denis was great with Villareal last season but if you read this thread you will think Denis is some Segunda player.
Barca is the one club in the world where it's extremely difficult to fit in and very easy to get lost in. Denis would be a great player for the likes of Villareals or Valencias. Just look at Jonathan Dos Santos now in Villareal, he is absolutely bossing their mid but here he would be behind Gomes in the pecking order.

As BBZ puts it, some players just aren't cut for elite clubs. JDS, Gomes, and Denis are examples of such players.

Denis hasnt been played in the position he was in at Villareal so unfair to judge but I think he could be good back up and certainly better than players that arent cut for mediocre clubs like Everton that you want signed.

I think Denis can cut it to big club,but not to an elite one (basically Barca/RM/Bayern/Juver/Atletico in past 4 seasons) although Atletico may be an exception
He could very well succeed in a club that plays with 4 midfielders and he will be used as the wide one,a club that won't have so much problems with some of his bad passes.
But for Barca it is tough tbh for him,we are above his level and not good fit

You really hate Deulofeu, lol.
He was always signed to be a midfielder and has played there in all his time with Barca in both the first and B teams. If he hasn't been played at his Villareal position there must be a reason for it.

Thats my point he has not been playing in the position he did at Villareal and if he did could be a useful back up.
The B team he played in never had anyone playing the way midfielders do under Lucho and he did play wider at times back then as well as he did at Sevilla then Villareal.

To be fair to him he wasn't given nearly as many chances as Gomes. And I'd say neither was better than the other. Which I guess considering how much more time Gomes had to prove himself Denis comes out on top. At least IMO

Or on the contrary, Denis didn't get enough time to show how shit he really is. Anyway, Gomes only played 850 minutes more than Denis, it's not as huge difference as people make it to be.
