Yea it would. Football is a global game. Attitudes towards these social issues are different around the world and by pushing them down people's throats all you risk doing is dividing people while they are doing something that can genuinely bring them together.

I won't say anymore but lets just say, racism to me is the worst of the worst and you can still see it in almost all walks of life. back 30-40 years ago, homosexuals were treated equally as bad but today? with the whole lgbt silencing anyone who disagrees? i have zero sympathy

Race is more of an identity, its agreed everywhere its not a choice. homosexuality is a sexuality, which is a small part of who you are. like i said, my friend is gay, fucking another dude is a foreign concept to me which i have zero interest in, he likewise has no interest in having sex with a woman. if i go to a football match, im there to watch football as a form of escapism, why do i need to know how people have sex in their private time? you can say 'well they suffered for years and now they are showing everyone how happy they are' but is that really it? in the UK, we see Raheem Sterling racially abused, Chelsea fans racially abusing people on a train, Koulibaly in Italy racially abused the other week, heck even racism aimed at jews but theres nothing about gays, infact the players wear rainbow laces to support them. imho its very wrong to compare that to racism

if a gay person became president of the US he/she would be celebrated from almost every corner of the world bar the arab countries. US athletes and people like Frank Ocean in music have come out as gay and its arguably made them MORE popular. most of the west is tolerant towards the lgbt community and its time they take the fight to the middle east if their crusade is just.

Do exactly what? If you're such a rights activists then apply it where it counts. Go to other regions of world besides West, where minority groups are coddled like never before, and fight your good fight. Racism and homophobia is till big everywhere aside from Western world.
