Denis Suarez

More than a few people have been crying about is getting nobodies like Denis instead of quality midfielders such as Pogba. That Pobizzle clown wasn't the only one - far from.

All I can say is that anyone touting his certain success is just as much at fault as anyone claiming he was a nonfactor addition to the club, we're in preseason - nothing is certain

Does anyone really claim that though?

Seems the OP does else why single out those who thought it to be a nonfactor addition? I think many fans get too carried away or get too down on this player or that with very little to go on in terms of sample size.

In general, I think most were looking forward to his addition - we'll see what he can add to the team during the season and in the biggest matches

Yeah, I can't disagree with that. Personally, I've just noticed more posts claiming that's he's not good enough than vice versa.
Either way, I think this small sample has indeed shown that he's suited for our midfield. It's all down to whether he's actually good enough for what it takes to improve our midfield. Time will tell.

I caught a couple of games he played for Villarreal and thought he was on the Rafinha's level. But after 2 pre-season games I think he is better than Rafinha, a lot better. Maybe I never was one of Rafinha's biggest fans, I never really thought he added anything. But as soon as you see Suarez play he opens up the whole pitch - smart crosses, dribbles, through balls - he knows when to do what that helps the team.

What intrigues me is the fact that lucho is using him in the right side of our midfield trio.. sure its a good thing so he can link with messi thus adapt more quickly.. but aint he suposed to be an iniesta back up (who plays in the left) ? Is the coach planing to form a trio of busqets iniesta denis ? Bringing the back the midget tiki taka football ?..

What hate did you see in this thread? Vast majority (if not everyone agreed with Denis returning).

Or are you are implying that "hate" was seeing him more as a winger than cm?

Either way you are barking up the wrong tree.

Maybe not on this specific thread but there have been PLENTY of posters, some veterans on this forum, who automatically assumed this dude was going to be a flop for no apparent reason whatsoever.

Its just clear that people on here spout opinion blatantly and ignorantly at times, and I've been defending Denis Suarez a lot recently, so his seamless transition here made me feel a bit vindicated.

Its only two preseason friendlies but it cannot be denied how great he has looked so far. Its very early, I'll wait until roughly the first Clasico until I'll call him a success but based on what he's shown so far, Rakitic is going to have some serious competition this season.

Barçapocalypse NOW!
He links up very well with Messi and understand our game very well... Sure there are some rough edges, but I can't think of anything to say he was a bad signing...

Im quite pleased with his passing and positional awareness.. but denis need to learn that we play with 3 attackers. In othet terms elegance is not enough.. he needs to toughen up when we are depossessed of the ball.. iniesta is the most gifted midfilder in the world yet hes both fierce and fearless defensively.. denis needs to aquire that as soon as possible if he wants a place among the starting eleven

Just the same as Rafinha and Roberto. Roberto is even better the Denis.
Gomes is also i nthe same category, even more offensive then the rest.
We needed to strengthen our midfield, but just brought in more of the same type of players we already have.
Shoulda bought a creative CM instead.
Now we have to live with Messi playing way to deep due to lack of creativity in the midfield for another year..
Our creativity in midfield is really really bad, and that is what shoulda been focused on in this transfer.
