Gomes played as AM last season so of course he was more attacking.
The season before he mostly played CM.Also did it when Valencia dominated at the Camp nou.

If we're in panic mode all the time, is it really an attack?
Not always in panic mode bro.... Only when Messi runs fewer number of kms than CR7 (or some shit like that) is there a panic attack! And it all becomes normal soon as he scores a goal and gives an out-of-this-world assist, as he would immediately become the GOAT again!!

panick attaks are no joke .. once i smooked some "chicha " heavily and drunk coffe with it .. my heart started racing to the point where i couldn't breath .. i took a taxi to th hospital and a shot of valium releaved me .. but the experience is unpleasant as hell .. anyhow .. i doubt we will have those until may at least .. when we will be playing the goddamn champions league final

Well he's officially our new number #6.

He has some big shoes to fill. But I think he will turn out to be a great player for us!

Denis will be the one who survives from the competition between Rafinha, Gomes, etc.
He has the best footballing intelligence among his competitors.
He adapts quickly, understand the game perfectly.

I'd give Gomes a chance to show what he's got before we start making such predictions. Rafinha being Lucho's personal favorite must also be taken into account.

Gomes can definately make it into our starting 11. Doubt it will be this season but who knows.

I doubt that.. Rakitić-Iniesta-Busquets are glued in starting line-up.. But I don't doubt Gomes will get enough minutes..

In my personal opinion, Rakitic only seems "glued" into the starting lineup because there wasn't any competition to speak of outside of Roberto, who played basically everywhere as a rotational sub.

It does seem that way, but you may be underestimating Rakitić. The role he's been playing here is difficult, and part of that role is that if you're doing your job right, you don't draw attention and you don't get the praise. But to put it differently, I agree that Rakitić is the first from our main midfield trio who could be fighting to keep his spot in the future. Not because he's that much worse than the others, but because his potential replacement is closer to his level than Iniesta's and Busquets's replacements are.
