It’s not about the cameo but rather that when he was playing consistently well in the early part of the season Valverde decided to dump his ass.

You people forget, and I spoke a lot about this this earlier in the season, that Xavi and Iniesta struggled for years too.

With more minutes Denis can be a great rotation piece for Coutinho. I think he’s more positionally disciplined to play in midfield too because Coutinho is a forward and it showed again tonight. Expecting Coutinho to play in midfield is a bad idea.

If you say physical is what we needed. How was it turn out then when we have a midfielder of Paulinho-Busquet-Rakitic. One player like modric(Bus-technical but waek) and the wall (Paulinho-strong man) and a decent guy in term of physics(Rakitic)....

The thing is to have a balance team, Physical is not the priority here. Look at Kante, does he got a beast like physical? Then why is he one of the best DM in the world cuz he got the "brain" and "skill" to defence.

Every successful teams have a controlling midfield which is now what we lack. What RV have done so far is moving Bus higher up in the field sometimes to distribute and control the ball.Then drop Rakitic lower which cause us a shaky defence cuz Rakitic is no defensive midfielder.
