French Neymar. One of the finest talents in modern football for my taste. If this club is serious he'll be a Barça player in a few seasons. Lamine and Doue in the same team, it wouldn't be fair...

Think he could turn great. Very talented but also seems very focused too. PSG hit gold there.

He should learn from Mbappe and go from QSG as soon as possible. Kylian is 26 and only won WC because of that club.

Ideally for Barça. Madrid won't go for him with what they have so I hope that we, if our financial situation is better in a few years, might actually get him.

Think this PSG under Lucho and with this set of players (one of the youngest in CL ) is a different enviroment.

Have to say I expected them to fall since losing Messi, Neymar and Mbaooe but they managed to attract good players. Props to their sports director.

PSG have two of the top five LW talents in the world in him and Barcola lol.

One of them probably leaves PSG in 3-4 years.

They were mostly very bad for us. Dutruel, Blanc, Christanval, Dehu, Todibo, Petit, Duggary, Lenglet. Even Griezman and Dembele.

Henry was cool but realistically gave us 1-2 seasons. Digne was a good rotation option. Giuly was frustrating but others seem to rate him.
Umtiti also gave us 1 season. Abidal was solid.

Someone already mentioned this but think few of those guys just came at a wrong time or in Barca toxic times.

Forgot :mathieu: He was an odd one

Ship sailed. PSG done a very good job picking him up early and cleaning up the Ligue1 attacking talent pool.

Mind you, they spent close to 200m on Kolo Muani, Doue and Etitike and only one of those worked out for them.

When you can afford to do that, then it smells like an oil leak.

We would be better off pursuing the Belgian market than the French under the table market.

Early days.....

I only read about him on this forum when M3ls proposed Barca go for him after missing out on Nico. Typically, I went online to screen some of his highlights and was impressed. Although there were just highlights or some little chunk of his overall play, i saw he was a bit raw like running into congested areas and head down most times while dribbling but I could see some outstanding skills(tight control and exceptional 1v1 abilities and relentless pressing ) that would fit very well for cheap. i knew instantly Barca would not go for him since was relatively unknown and not from La masia.

Barcelona is a club that would typically have options between a Ferran Torres for 60m or Julian Alvarez for 14m and would prefer the former because he is Spanish and a member of the spanish national team, then turn around a few years after to be sniffing around for Alvarez when his value is hitting +90m. (Man city used a little part of the money from sale of Ferran on Alvarez)

As I stated, early days but it is mouth watering, what could be if only club widen its search and more creative in finding solutions sometimes, especially when it is not so bouyant. I read he was offered to Deco for 35m+ incentives. Barca couid have been more creative rather than being tunnelled on Nico or no one else. They are likely to repeat same again this summer

I actually like what you have to say, your posts are interesting and you put effort into them even if I sometimes disagree.

But I have one question - why is every football post tinged with criticism about Barca?

PSG is now different, they've now got quality hungry players, environment and coach.

This dude is hot stuff. There is something about some players that you instantly see they are made for top tier football.

I saw the same thing..... within minutes.
How a club had such a player for cheap (if truly Barca had the funds for Nico as Laporta and team claimed in the press) and decided it was Nico or no one else is still beffudling.

He is knocking on being a starter in the French national team while being a bencher for PSG. That says a lot. + He is versatile and can play both wings /AM comfortably too.

Again, it's early days...so lets see how he pans out in a couple of years.
