Don't like his antics, but if that is true, lowering his salary by 50%, it might be something to really think about.

Motivation is not an aspect to worry about. He is one of the highly motivated player i know..
thats the reason he dives on field..

There aren't many experienced strikers with quality of drogba available now.
Last term we wanted to sign Forlan, but didn't work out.

but the thing is, he is the kind of player who plays for himself, not for the team..
Wouldn't it be like Ibra all over again..?

I don't think so. Ibra's problem was that he was unwilling to play target striker. Then again, he also didn't want to play 2nd fiddle to Messi.

He dived so badly in CL this season because he wanted the CL more than anything and he knew it was his last chance(just like Henry did in 2009)..if Chelsea beats Bayern, Drogba will only play for money from now on(just like Raul, Henry, Eto'o etc.). Or you must really believe Sport and MD, two papers that are are putting The Sun to shame, when they say that a player like Drogba will come free at Barca and accept a small contract.

And I must say that competing against this RM with a 30 y.o. Villa(who is returning from an injury who could have changed him forever), a 34 y.o. Drogba(who might have nothing ele to play for), an out of form Pedro(who scored 14 goals for us since february 2011), a poor goalscorer like Alexis(who is uncapable of playing well for 3 consecutive games without getting injured) and Cuenca(who I think could be a good winger, but won't score more than 5-10 goals per season) it doesn't seem such a good idea. You will say that I forgot Messi..I didn't, but I expect us to be capable to beat Levante without him...unlike this year, when because we needed Messi every single game in the league, he was too tired to make a difference in the most important week of the season.

The same team we used to toy with RM last year and nobody has become old have they from last year, they are only 1 year older than they were last year,so why not.

That's a bit of a contradiction..and we didn't toyed with RM since the manita(unless you count the games in which Mou was a coward and decided to park the bus). Since then Xavi's problems with the knees got worse and in the last 6 El Clasico he wasn't able to take control of the midfield like he used to, allowing Ozil to actually make a difference. Not to mention that Higuain recovered from his surgery, Benzema became one of the top 10 players in the world and Ramos a world-class CB. We lost Abidal, Puyol had a 2nd surgery and Pique is in his waka-waka world.

If we're not smart this year(and this means buying players who can actually make a difference in a game against RM or a CL SF, not Drogba, Botia or Jordi Alba) RM will enter in a winning cycle(like we did in 2008) and it will be a lot harder to reach the top again. Laporta and Pep knew what heads to cut and brought 2 players(Pique and Alves) who were decisive in the 2008/2009 league and CL..Rosell only showed until now that he knew how to delegate and how to atack Laporta. This is truly the first year where we can say that the succes or failure will be entirely his.

The last games that we struggled against RM was our own fault,i didn't see anything that special in RM but if the likes of Xavi and Villa return to the top again i am convinced it will be the same as previous seasons.

You have to take into account that WE DIDN'T LOST the league because we lost El Clasico..we lost the league in games like the one against Sevilla where no one could finish the chances we had. If you don't think that the fact that our 2nd and 3rd goalscorers are midfielders is a problem and that Drogba won't fix our dependency of Messi, then I don't have anything else to say.
