Diego Costa

He's now Chelsea's top striking option after pretty much giving up on Rooney. Atletico will try play hardball and ask for Courtois in a deal but Chelsea are reluctant to let him leave.

Right, and what about Lukaku? When is he ever going to get his opportunity at Chelsea? You might as well sell him to Everton and give him a good career there. It's insulting to just keep sending him out on loan and then keep on signing other strikers. He's too good to be on the bench so that shouldn't be an option either.

Sid Lowe reckons Athletico value Courtois more than Costa so if Chelsea want him at all costs. Plus it's the only way they will keep him as they have no money.

I'd recall Courtois, he's a keeper for life.

I'd take Courtois first too, keepers of his quality are rarer than good strikers IMO.

I heard we may sell Lukaku to buy Costa, but who knows.

Costa would bring the Drogba type effect for Chelsea again, will make the really dangerous in CL again. That's the only place they are lacking in right now is the CF which we all know Mou needs a superstar.

"The Gunners sent scouts to watch the Atletico Madrid striker only to decide he was too cumbersome and does not suit Arsene Wenger's style of football."

Giroud ftw.

He's the ideal Chelsea/Mourinho striker. Never stops running, dirty fouler, cheat, diver, and scores the jammiest of goals

I think Diego Costa's overrated personally compared to other world class strikers of the past and present. He's no Drogba, who Chelsea are looking for. If Chelsea pay anything over £40m for him they must be bonkers.

What is it with Atletico and strikers? They almost always seem to find some extremely good strikers to lead the lines for them. Torres, Forlan, Aguero, Falcao and now Costa. That's a collection of strikers that most clubs in the world would be proud to have over a seven-eight year period.
