Exactly this. Semedo and Roberto are mediocre but our midfield is outrageously bad. It's more important to fix that imo.

Emerson is worse than both. You need someone better to replace them with. Only sell Roberto or Semedo for a good offer to get good money to invest the team. I'm all for that.

Or for a good exchange. Like Semedo + some money for Bernardo Silva. Or Semedo for Cancelo exchange if we believe Cancelo is better.

Cant go into next season with him at RB.

Need someone else at RB and loan Semedo if needed. The guy cant defend, cant get involved in build up play and is clueless in final third.

Donny would be an excellent addition. It is actually a sort of a Win/Win deal in many ways. He was already out of the club before Covid messed things up. The club was ready to sell him to either RM or UTD.

Now both RM and UTD are not targeting him. We can actually get him for a decent price, probably with just a low down payment and future installments. I am certain he'll be more than happy to play for Koeman next to FDJ.

Are we really considering that? I highly doubt that. We probably lost 200mil because the Covid. We don't have money.

I agree with you, but this isn't something new. The club's priorities have been wrong for the past 5 years.

I also don't want to run the risk of Alba having a "decent" season and getting stuck with him for another 2-3 years. Alba in particular is a player I'd offer to multiple teams and push out as hard as I can. Both Man City and Man Utd really need a new LB. So do Chelsea.

All players are for sale for good offers. That's obvious. Except maybe De Jong.

Doesnt have to be more defensive it just allows for one of the two DMs to step out more and have cover.
